I’ve never really tried doing one of those personal comics before

you know the kind

the strips that try to straighten out some choked up clog of feelings, or poignant experience

like rolling knuckles against a muscle knot, loosening it up

I don’t know how this is going to come out

but I’ve been sitting on a few sketches for the past day or two, and I really want to get a digital version done sometime this week, hopefully before the weekend

I’ve been so, so inspired by the artists I follow and I really want to give it a shot

and the subject matter is a pretty huge deal for me

just scribbling some ideas in my notebook has felt like a punch to the gut, but in a good way? if breathlessness can be a good thing.

we’ll see how this goes
